A software start-up
Founded in 2011, we make our debut with a proprietary marketing platform for software publishing companies.
We’re known as innovators and investors, conceiving of and acquiring products we superscale into disruptive digital companies. Every day, our products are grabbing the attention of engaged audiences around the world, reinventing business across industries, countries and continents.
We all know it takes more than an idea to build a successful company. It takes leadership, a mix of resources (and resourcefulness), investment capital and, most importantly, people. We have all four in spades, which means a serious competitive advantage in acquiring, scaling and supporting companies.
Between our leadership and pool of creative and technical talent, we bring the necessary experience and expertise to the table to inform every decision we make.
From a state-of-the-art space to in-house HR and finance professionals, we have the resources at our fingertips to operate our companies efficiently and effectively.
Of course, you can’t start up businesses without investment capital. Our ventures are debt-backed and operationally superpowered for hyper-profitability.
From branding to user experience design and prototyping, we’ve got the creatives in-house to take our companies from ideation to launch, iteration and scale.
Founded in 2011, we make our debut with a proprietary marketing platform for software publishing companies.
Google Canada names us a top 10 advertising partner, deepening our roots as a media technology company.
We expand our reach, acquiring over 1,000 software publishing partners worldwide, and we launch Rebase, our internal software division.
Victoria’s Advanced Technology Community names us Emerging Technology Company of the Year.
We launch our digital publishing company, Assembly, with four brands, from entertainment to education.
Profit 500 names us the second-fastest growing software company in Canada. We launch our productivity app, Shift.
We develop our proprietary technology, Statera, auto-optimizing ad placement and revenue of our digital publishing brands. Shift 2.0 launches with a full suite of advanced options.
As Shift grows to tens of thousands of daily active users, Assembly scales to over 20 million unique visitors and 100+ million page views per month, making it one of the fastest growing digital publishers in Canada.
We lease a 21,000-square-foot office, laying the groundwork to scale Redbrick to 100 employees and over $100M in revenue. Shift closes a $1M seed funding round and positions for a Series A.
Our team exceeds 100 members, and we become a multinational name with the acquisition of Minnesota-based Leadpages, the gold-standard, no-code platform for building landing pages and websites.
Redbrick acquires advanced email and marketing automation platform, Delivra, marking another major milestone towards its goal of supporting the digital entrepreneur.
After eight years of unprecedented growth, Assembly and its proprietary digital publishing technology are acquired by Canada’s largest privately held media company, St. Joseph Communications.
This isn’t the end of our story. We’re investors first, leveraging the Redbrick advantage to seed ideas to fruition, whether we’re investing in-house to build a new company from the ground up or acquiring an established business to super-scale its growth (something we happen to do really well). It just takes the right idea. Think you’ve got it? Let’s talk.
