We are proud to share that Redbrick is a Certified B Corporation™. We’re joining a global movement of businesses dedicated to building an equitable and sustainable future.

It’s been a years-long process of learning and assessment which makes us so excited to announce that Redbrick is officially a B Corp™.

As a B Corp, Redbrick has committed to using the power of business to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. We’re now one of 9,000+ Certified B Corps worldwide working to build an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.

B Corp Certification recognizes companies that meet verified high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This certification is granted by B Lab™, a global nonprofit network organization.

What does B Corp mean?

The “B” in B Corp stands for benefit. B Corporations make a legal commitment to bringing benefit to all stakeholders: workers, customers, community, and our planet.

To become certified, companies must undertake a thorough assessment and verification process every three years to maintain certification and demonstrate they meet B Lab’s continually evolving standards for performance, transparency, and accountability.

As part of the B Corp Certification process, companies must:

  • Score 80 or above on the B Impact Assessment™ which includes a risk review and more than 300 questions related to company operations.
  • Publish a B Impact Report and allow performance to be measured against other B Corp scores and mainstream businesses.
  • Legally change corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders and achieve benefit corporation status.

Why did Redbrick pursue B Corp Certification?

We set out to make a formal commitment to creating positive change, growing our sustainable impact, and giving back to our community. B Corp gives us the accountability to continue improving our efforts and the framework to measure our total social and environmental impact.

Pursuing B Corp Certification was a natural step for Redbrick, aligning with our core values and long-term vision in three distinct ways:

  • Commitment to positive change

We want to demonstrate our dedication to building an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. By becoming a B Corp, we’re not just talking about change, we’re building a better future through our efforts and our profits.

  • Joining a global community

As a B Corp, we’re part of a global network of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact and responsibility. We’re proud to be counted amongst these organizations and want to inspire other tech companies to join the movement.

  • Pursuing continuous improvement

B Corp Certification and re-certification hold us to improvement and resilience. As part of our long-term roadmap, B Corp’s standards will keep us adaptable and forward-thinking.

What does being a B Corp mean for Redbrick?

B Corp isn’t a finish line, it’s a commitment to the changes we’ve made and the direction we want to head in. Our B Corp Certification brings our vision for Redbrick’s future into focus, but it also ratifies our existing efforts to take care of our team, reduce our environmental impact, and invest in our local community.

Our team is the heart of Redbrick. B Corp Certification reinforces our commitment to creating positive, inclusive, and equitable workplaces across our portfolio. Being a B Corp speaks to the dedication of our People & Culture team which is always striving to support Redbrickers and lead our industry in employee care. Whether it’s extending parental leave in every company we acquire or implementing benefits that take care of the whole person, we’ll prioritize the people who make our work possible: our team.

Working for Redbrick will have an intrinsic purpose beyond building impactful software. Our team can come to work each day knowing their efforts are building a better future for people and our planet. As we grow our team, we’ll be strengthening our involvement with community events, partnerships, and mentorship programs that encourage more women and people from diverse backgrounds to pursue and succeed in tech.

Looking ahead, B Corp’s framework for impact will be at the forefront of all our business development decisions. Redbrick will be dedicating a portion of profits to creating positive change in our local and global community.

Our acquisition strategy will also reflect our commitment, we will actively seek out companies with values that align with B Corp’s vision. As for the business we’re building from the ground up, we’ll continue developing technology solutions that mitigate the digital carbon footprints of our software and its users.

Moving forward with purpose

As a tech company, we’re in a unique position to facilitate change. Our industry thrives on rapid innovation and disruption, making us well-positioned to push the boundaries of the status quo. We want to inspire other tech companies to join the B Corp movement and demonstrate that it’s possible to achieve business success while prioritizing social responsibility.

Our journey to B Corp Certification reflects our unwavering commitment to making a positive impact. This journey includes our portfolio companies—Animoto, Delivra, Leadpages, and Shift. Each brand plays a crucial role in our collective mission to foster positive change.

Becoming a B Corp is a monumental accomplishment. But it’s also more than that. B Corp Certification is the beginning of a journey toward continuous improvement and collective action. It’s our commitment to strive for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative future.
