We’re proud to announce Redbrick has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers for 2022.
It’s so exciting to have earned this achievement for three consecutive years. We hope it demonstrates our commitment to our incredible team and to building a company that puts its people first.
For its 9th annual edition, Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers gave special recognition to the agility and flexibility of their honourees. From facing a pandemic to a tightening labour market, this year’s list of employers experimented with creative initiatives to help them adapt to these challenges.
Beyond their forward-thinking, employers were evaluated on their human resource policies and then compared to other organizations in their industry to determine which offers the most progressive programs. Criteria categories include physical workspace, workplace atmosphere, health and financial benefits, vacation time, skills development, performance management, and community involvement.
Among this year’s selected employers, Redbrick wasn’t alone in offering comprehensive health and wellness support. Policies developed at the onset of the pandemic are here to stay and mental health resources are finding permanent places within employee health benefits.
Alongside recognition for our employee wellness programs, Redbrick was credited for “raising the bar” on maternity and parental leave as well as offering online parenting courses, financial consultation, RRSP matching, and career planning services.
It’s been another year of the pandemic and maneuvering into a flexible work model. But this year has also given us the opportunity to evolve our workplace and keep ourselves busy with some creative thinking. We were challenged to invest in connecting in new ways and empower our team to choose how they want to work.
"Small and medium employers have the advantage of adaptability. They are independent and have always served as a ‘laboratory’ for the kinds of best practices we eventually see at larger employers. As new ways of working emerge, such as the growing interest in hybrid work arrangements, smaller employers have the flexibility to experiment and come up with solutions that work for everyone."
Kristina Leung, Senior Editor, Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition.
Things aren’t quite back to “normal” yet, but we’re so grateful to have an exceptionally talented team that takes every new challenge in stride. Our goal is to keep getting better and better at what we can offer Redbrickers, and continue to set the standard for employers across the country.
Congratulations to all the other employers recognized this year. For a complete list of the 2022 honourees or more information about the award, visit the SME website or read the full press release here.
